The cosmos is offering us a rare alignment this season: a Black Moon in Virgo, a Partial Solar Eclipse, and the Autumn Equinox all arriving together. Each of these events on its own carries the weight of transition: a reset, a recalibration, and a rebalancing… But, woven together, they form what I can only describe as a triple threshold: an amplified invitation to pause, reflect, and begin again with deep intention.
The Black Moon arrives as a second New Moon in Virgo tomorrow, doubling down on the themes of devotion to detail, refinement, and renewal. With it, the Partial Solar Eclipse adds the element of fate, pressing us to release structures that no longer serve us and to step into patterns that will sustain the long arc of our vision. Then on the following day, Mabon (the Autumn Equinox) calls us into gratitude and balance, reminding us to acknowledge what has ripened in our lives as well as discern what must be released.

For me, this convergence does not feel like a return to “square one.” It feels like I’m taking the next step on solid ground; carrying with me all the growth, wisdom, and accomplishments I’ve already been gathering for many years. It’s not a reset that erases, but one that refines. Truly, I’m embracing it as an opportunity to recommit to myself, my vision, and the daily rhythms that sustain both. At this threshold, I feel both grounded in gratitude for the harvest behind me and invigorated by the new season that is opening ahead.

The Black Moon: A Second Beginning
A Black Moon is rare—two New Moons in the same zodiacal or calendar month—and in Virgo it feels like a double invitation to begin again. If the first Virgo New Moon opened the door to clarity, this second one holds it wide, reminding us that refinement is an ongoing process. Virgo energy thrives in the small details, in the quiet disciplines that compound over time. A Black Moon in this sign encourages us to take what we’ve learned since the first lunation and deepen our devotion to what truly sustains us.

For me, this moment feels like a second chance to commit more fully to myself and my vision. I can see how much I’ve already accomplished this year, especially as milestones that I once only dreamed about are now complete. Yet, I’ve also noticed where small slips in my routines have effected me, which has subsequently reminded me of just how much those structures matter. Summertime disruptions, a shifted sleep cycle, the cascading effects of being out of rhythm… These weren’t failures but lessons, showing me the true value of the systems I’ve built for self-care and productivity. They’ve clarified what supports me most, and in that way, they too have become part of my harvest.
So, I’m stepping through this Black Moon threshold with renewed appreciation for the simple, steady details that elevate both my personal and professional worlds. My perspective has been refreshed: I am my greatest investment, and this lunation reminds me to treat myself as such. That means committing to my needs with the same seriousness I would bring to any important role, because the life I’m building depends on it. This Black Moon’s “second chance” energy assures me that beginnings aren’t a one-time opportunity. Truly, they are cyclical, offering us the grace to recommit, refine, and realign—as many times as it takes.

The Solar Eclipse: A Fated Reset
A Solar Eclipse is no ordinary New Moon. It carries a weight of destiny, illuminating what must change and often shifting our course in ways that feel both unexpected and inevitable. In Virgo, the eclipse presses us to examine the systems we live by: our habits, our health, our work patterns, and the frameworks we lean on for stability. It asks us to discern which of these structures truly sustain us and which ones only drain our energy. Consequently, the changes it brings are not mere adjustments; they are resets, with ripples that extend far into the future.
Personally, this eclipse is ending my old ways of operating from the frameworks of urgency, necessity, and survival that have carried me for far too long. I’ve built much of my life by responding to what was immediate and essential, by showing up where there was a fire to put out or a need to be met… And in its own way, it worked. I survived, I progressed, I even found some value in being responsive and adaptable. But… Survival is not the same as fulfillment, and urgency is not the same as vision. Living that way has been exhausting, and I can feel that it no longer aligns with the life I want to create.

This eclipse is inviting me to step out of those reactive patterns and into more proactive creation. I no longer want to wait for life to demand something of me so I can prove my worth. I know what I want, and I know what it will take to make it my reality. So, that means I need to get more serious about building the structures that serve my vision, rather than allowing my time and energy to be consumed by circumstances that only require my reaction. It means saying no to momentary validation when it comes at the expense of long-term fulfillment. So, passing through this eclipse threshold, I’m hearing the call to reset my priorities, and I’m heading it. It’s time for my energy to be fully directed toward growth, not just survival.

Mabon: Rebalancing Light & Dark
The Autumn Equinox, also known as the Pagan Sabbat Mabon, is a time when day and night are equal. A sacred pause in the turning of the year, it’s a reminder that balance is both fleeting and essential. Traditionally, Mabon is the second harvest festival: a time to gather what has ripened, celebrate abundance, and offer gratitude before the descent into winter. It is also a time of discernment, so I’ve been asking myself: “What is worth carrying forward, and what do I need to release?“

For me, this year’s harvest has been very personal. I find myself most grateful for the self I have become. Looking back on nearly a decade of development, healing, and growth, I can see the fruits of this labor in every corner of my life now. I’m incredibly grateful for the version of me who chose to step onto this path of authenticity, who pushed through fear and conditioning, and who sought the healing that was so desperately needed. I’m grateful, too, for the moment I moved beyond “healing” as an identity and began to live as someone who was already healed, whole, and thriving. That shift set the stage for so much of what I’ve created this year—including my debut novel and first children’s book, both of which represent long-held dreams finally realized.
With all this gratitude, a sort of natural release seems to be arising as well. I am laying down self-judgment, the old urgency for external validation, and the feeling of needing to prove my worth through palatability or busyness. In their place, I feel a deeper, quieter confidence taking root. It is not brash or performative, but rather, steady and profound… And it’s organically leading into more satisfaction, more focus, and more creativity. So, for me, the rebalancing work of Mabon this year has been to remember that gratitude and release are two halves of the same offering. By acknowledging all I have harvested, I’ve also been preparing to let go of what I must surrender, trusting completely in the cycle of becoming as I cross through this final threshold.

Virgo–Pisces Polarity: Devotion & Surrender
Every lunation across the Virgo–Pisces axis highlights the tension between precision and flow, control and trust. Virgo calls us to tend the details, to create structures that sustain life. Pisces reminds us that even the best-laid plans must leave room for mystery, inspiration, and grace. When these forces meet, we are asked not to choose one over the other, but to weave them together into balance.
In my own life, because they govern my natal nodes, this polarity has been a recurring teacher. I’ve swung to both extremes, at times building so much structure that I became paralyzed by it, and at other times dissolving so fully into flow that I lost touch with reality until found myself crashing back down to earth. Still, each of these experiences have taught me something valuable, though none of them ever truly offered the freedom I sought. Now, I think I’m starting to see the path more clearly. The freedom I crave won’t come from escaping from or into responsibility—it will come from mastering it, integrating it, and allowing it to support me.

That means truly devoting myself to the simple, consistent structures that keep my energy steady and my focus clear: the routines, habits, and practices I have that already nourish me daily. At the same time, it also means holding my larger visions with more openness: trusting them to grow, shift, and surprise me in ways I can’t yet imagine. Virgo’s meticulousness can help ground me in the day-to-day, while Pisces’ expansiveness can keep me aligned with the bigger picture. Together, they’ll allow me to live both responsibly and freely, honoring discipline as the container that makes true freedom possible.

Crossing the Thresholds: Convergence
To experience a Black Moon, a Solar Eclipse, and the Autumn Equinox all at once is extremely rare. Each event marks a threshold in its own right, but together they are creating a powerful convergence of cosmic energy: a triple invitation to reset, rebalance, and recommit. It feels less like one doorway and more like a series of gateways that are all aligned, urging us to step through each one with confidence and clarity, drawing us forward into a more activated and actualized life.

For me, standing at this potent and promising edge feels invigorating. I carry with me the strength of everything I’ve already built, the confidence of all I’ve already achieved, and the wisdom of all the lessons I’ve already learned. These thresholds don’t strip me of progress—but they do refine it, helping me better understand what’s working and clear out what’s not. That clarity makes the recommitments feel effortless; I don’t have to second-guess what deserves my energy, nor do I need to cling to what isn’t serving me.
Perhaps the most refreshing part of this convergence is the balance it brings. I am no longer swinging violently between extremes or measuring myself against arbitrary ideals. Instead, I’m settling into a middle ground that feels nourishing, personal, and flexible. Change no longer feels like disruption… It feels like integration. Adjustments are not overwhelming, but refreshing. So, as I step through this triple threshold, I do so with both excitement and ease. I am trusting that each refinement will only strengthen me more as I continue down the path I know I am meant to walk.

Intentions for Balance & Renewal
This rare convergence of Black Moon, Solar Eclipse, and Autumn Equinox reminds me that no beginning is ever really from scratch. Each threshold carries with it the weight of what came before—our lessons, our scars, and our triumphs—shaping how we step into what comes next. At this triple threshold, the invitation is clear: honor what we’ve harvested, release what no longer sustains us, and renew our intentions with balance. These resets do not erase the past, but they will help us transform it into fuel for the future.
Personally, this means making a fierce recommitment. I am not only betting on myself and my vision—I am going all in. That will require me to be unapologetic in the pursuit of my goals, indulgent in the self-nurturance that sustains me, and bold in dismantling every barrier of self-expression that once held me back. No more plan B’s. No more waiting for validation. I am already living the life I choose, and I am giving myself full permission to let it thrive.
