Long before modern noise and distraction, there was rhythm. There was sky, there was Earth, and there was a quiet, undeniable knowing that we are part of something vast, alive, and deeply intelligent.

☆ What is this about?
Humanity has long been connected to the movements of the sun, so much so that ancient peoples across the globe have built monuments that align with its most significant annual stations. One of these cultures is known as the Ancestral Puebloans, a remarkable civilization that inhabited much of what we now call the four-corners region of the western United States. The height of their empire spanned for centuries between ~ 850-1250 C.E., allowing them to build some of the most complex ancient structures on the North American continent, which can still be visited to this day. Many of these Ancestral Puebloan ruins offer a glimpse into the remarkable connection these ancients had to the natural world, especially with regard to precise alignments with the Earth’s cardinal directions and the sun’s zenith (what we now call Summer Solstice).

We will explore the land, the culture, the stars, and especially our own hearts, as we open ourselves to this ancient yet ageless experience. The purpose and intention of the retreat will differ for each and every participant, but all of us will be invited to expand into greater connection, alignment, and activation through this sacred, shared experience.

⭐ Lodging:
Enjoy all the comforts of home at a spacious Airbnb in the small town of Aztec, NM. 4 single-occupancy rooms with queen beds are available. If you’d like to share a room with your partner or a friend, you can upgrade to double-occupancy. Costs are all-inclusive, taking care of transportation, meals, and entrance fees as well.

⭐ Transportation:
Relax in comfort during the round-trip travel from our meeting place in Colorado, journeying in style to New Mexico in a luxury, oversized SUV; take in the incredible vistas and engage in conversation with the other attendees as we make our way through some of the most beautiful parts of the “wild west” together.
⭐ Food:
From the moment we arrive in New Mexico, all your meals will be provided for you (organic and vegetarian will be standard, but dietary needs and preferences will also be honored); this will include four complete, home-made dinners and breakfasts, three sack lunches (for our on-the-go adventures), as well as a variety beverages and snacks. Please note: snacks and beverages will be available in the SUV during our travel days, but the retreat costs only cover dinner on the first night and breakfast on the last day (you will be responsible for any additional meal, beverage, or snack purchases during travel).

This retreat is designed to offer lots of free time for your own rest, reflection, and restoration, as well as provide comprehensive opportunities for personal rejuvenation, spiritual connections, and historical explorations.

☆ What’s happening, when?
ITINERARY
✴️ Day One, June 18th:
We will come together at our meeting place in Colorado at 8:30am. Travel time will be approximately 6 hours, plus stops. Our first night will include a group dinner and brief orientation, but afterwards you will be free to socialize, enjoy the stars in NM’s warm night air, or simply relax.
✴️ Day Two, June 19th:
Begin your first full retreat day with the option to join mayryanna for a Kundalini Activation and Alignment session at 8am (includes: Reiki-infused breath work, yoga, mantra, and meditation), with breakfast following at 9am. From there we will venture out to the near-by Aztec Ancestral Puebloan ruins, where we will learn about this ancient culture in the museum, explore a reconstruction of a great kiva (sacred ceremony space), and have our picnic lunch before a brief native plant walk. From there, we’ll head to the beach at near-by Farmington Lake for some playful and refreshing natural water cleansing before we return to the Airbnb with enough time to freshen up for dinner. After dinner, you will have the option to partake in a gentle tea-assisted Shamanic journey, guided by mayryanna into connection with the land and the ancients.
✴️ Day Three, June 20th:
Your morning will include another opportunity for Kundalini Activation and Alignment before breakfast, and then we will head to Chaco Canyon for a thorough exploration of this ancient site. After stopping at the visitor center and taking the scenic drive throughout the most notable ruins, we’ll enjoy our picnic lunch before hiking the Pueblo Alto trail (2-5.5 miles, depending on weather and interest) for a bird’s eye view of the striking Pueblo Bonito from atop the mesa. We will return to the Airbnb with time to clean up before dinner, and then we head back out to Chaco Canyon to witness the sunset cast its golden rays on Fajada Butte before we take in the night sky from this officially recognized Dark Sky preservation area. Finally, we will stop by the Chaco Canyon Observatory before returning to the Airbnb for an early, restful night.
✴️ Day Four, June 21st:
Solstice morning will begin early, as we will leave the Airbnb to head to the ruins at 4:30am in preparation to view the Solstice/ruins alignment (both breakfast and lunch will be preprepared for us to take on our journey today). After the solar event, we will explore some of the ancient petroglyphs and pictographs via the trails in the park (4.5-8 miles; with an optional active-ceremony). After cleaning up and having dinner back at the Airbnb, we will end the longest day of the year by celebrating the connections to the past/present/future that the Solstice provides us with our own, private ecstatic dance and art party as the sun sets. mayryanna will be available for personal Tarot and Astrology readings throughout the evening as well, however these additional services are not included in the cost of the retreat (if you are interested, please be sure to schedule your reading in advance; their availability will be limited).
✴️ Day Five, June 22nd:
Our last morning will offer the final Kundalini Activation and Alignment session before breakfast, after which we will say goodbye to the Ancestral Puebloan lands to begin our travel back to Colorado. Our departure from the Airbnb will be at 12-noon, and we will be arriving back at our meeting place in Colorado between 6-8pm (depending on stops).

- An openness to learn from the Ancestral Puebloans, the cycles of nature, and your own ancient soul
- Personal intention(s) for a sacred experience, regardless of participation in the available historical, ceremonial, or alignment activities
- Journal and pens
- Reusable water bottles (2+)
- Sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.
- Comfortable clothing for exploring and hiking in New Mexico’s dry, summer heat (average temperatures range from 80-95 degrees)
- Your authentic gratitude, as well as a simple, natural offering to leave behind in the Ancestral Puebloan lands, like: a small stone, wooden carving, or feather

☆ How do I sign up?
Space is extremely limited for this intimate, sacred journey. If you would like to be considered as a participant, you can apply below. After your application has been reviewed, and if you seem like a potentially good fit, you will be notified of your opportunity to schedule a short interview with mayryanna or Promise. If you would like to attend with a partner or friend, you will both need to complete the entire application process (regardless of single- or double-occupancy).
Your eligibility will be decided within a week of completing your interview, at which time you will be expected to pay the 50% deposit to secure your spot. The remaining balance will be due by May 1st for the early registration discount, and no later than June 1st. Be advised, failure to pay the entire cost by this final due date will result in both a loss of your space on the retreat, as well as your deposit.
A wait-list will be made available if the number of eligible participants exceeds the available spots. Wait-listed individuals or parties will be notified of any availabilities in the order that they were placed on the list, beginning June 2nd. All retreat participants will be locked-in by June 5th; if you are not contacted regarding your wait-list status by that time, there is no available room.
