I know, I’m about 3 days late, but I promise I have my reasons. They’re pretty good too.
First off, I’d like to introduce you to my newest article series (that actually has quite the throwback twist). This IS it: the Editorial.
Back at the New Year of 2019, I committed to my first-ever Year and a Day practice. The idea was to simply show up, however that might look, and blog daily for a whole 366 days.
I did it. It was very messy, quite crude, and lacked any direction or vision – but I did it (shout out to any of you who braved that season of my life with me).
Despite the commitment’s end and the blog’s ultimate demise in the spring of 2020, the experiment taught me a lot. Honestly, it really challenged me to think hard about how I want to show up in the world.
In the years since, this website and its offerings have changed quite a bit. Most of the articles posted have been developed to be free, evergreen-resources for anyone on a journey of personal or spiritual growth – but, I have also missed being more candid, like THIS.
So, here I am: mayryanna in all her original “messy art of living” glory, but hopefully, with a bit more class now. What do you think?
Now, for the second update, remember that Year and a Day stuff I mentioned?
Though my second attempt at a commitment failed not long after my original blog died, I ultimately picked things back up with a successful 366 days of divination in 2023. Then this last year, I did a meditation commitment – and this year I’m raising the stakes by taking that practice LIVE.
That’s right, you can now find me livestreaming my meditations every evening at 8pm MST. So far, the first too have been comically disastrous, but we’ll see how it goes tonight – I figure that starting off so poorly gives me a great trajectory for improvement at least!
This leads me to my third update: the Onesce Insider Membership, aka the reason I haven’t been getting much sleep lately. It’s beautiful, it’s glitchy, but it’s oh-so available!
I’m incredibly grateful for all the support, encouragement, and feedback from my kin and coven during this soft-launch period. I know that together, we’ll really be able to make it something empowering.
